Remember me mentioning before the weekend that Keir Starmer-the-now-literal-Kid-Starver might be liable to face legal action for giving carte blanche support to Israeli war crimes?

Well, it looks like I may be right, although at the moment, the action I am now drawing attention to is currently only aimed at the Government. But there is no reason to assume it cannot be extended to any elected official who irresponsibly cheers on Israeli atrocities in the media.

In the words of the organisation itself, made to a backdrop of global opposition to the Israeli attacks on The Gaza Strip, the International Centre of Justice for Palestinians (ICJP) has written a notice of intention to prosecute UK government officials, for aiding and abetting war crimes in Gaza. The notice has already been passed to Scotland Yard, and that demonstrates how serious the action is, and how easily the ICJP have evidenced it.

We put the Government on notice that we intend to bring legal proceedings against
politicians in the UK and elsewhere where there is evidence that they have aided,
abetted or in any other way supported, encouraged or provided material assistance in
the commission of a war crime.

Irresponsible war-mongering rhetoric has consequences

That certainly puts Rishi Sunak and Grant Shapps in particular in serious trouble, both of whom have made highly prejudicial, infantile and war-lusting remarks over the last week. But it will not be difficult to evidence the same yobbish egging-on of the Israelis by the Labour Shadow Cabinet, especially Starmer himself, with his truly alarming assertion that Israel has “the right” to cut off water and power supplies to the beleaguered enclave.

Really very unintelligent behaviour by a party leader who is supposed to be a legal expert, especially on Human Rights laws.
